What You Will Learn

Whether your goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of your building projects or your business, the Carbon Reduction Webinar Series will help you establish realistic goals and strategies to reach them. National climate change experts will provide you with the information and hands-on tools to:

Continuing Education Credits
Each webinar in this series will be registered for one hour of credit per session with the following continuing education programs: AIA/CES, BOMI, CoreNet, IDCEC, IFMA.

Webinar Structure & Tracks

Each webinar is designed to be a stand-alone session, but participating in all webinars will ensure that you have a comprehensive overview of the subject matter and extensive tools to implement your own plan. The series is composed of introductory Foundation Sessions and two Tracks: Building Projects and Organizations.

Foundation Sessions
Two introductory sessions will provide you with the foundation for continued exploration of either of the Building Projects or Organizations Track. Register today for $80 per session!

Building Projects Track
The Building Projects Track will prepare you to develop and implement design, construction, and operations plans that reduce the carbon emissions of your building projects. To address your organization’s own climate impact, also participate in the Organizations Track.  Check back soon for additional information.

The Organizations Track will prepare you to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to reduce your business’ or organization’s carbon footprint. Check back soon for additional information.

Each webinar session lasts 90 minutes, including 30 minutes of Q&A. The sessions will be hosted live at:

Tia brings a pragmatic perspective to greening existing facilities and has worked on both public- and private sector projects. She was responsible for the first LEED for Existing Buildings post-pilot ("v2.0") certification. Tia's experience includes work on over 10 LEED certification efforts including the first building to achieve a Platinum rating under LEED for Existing Buildings v2,0. A registered Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional, Tia serves on the Federal Energy Management Advisory Council (FEMAC) and the LEED-EB core committee.
